Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou has been putting his players through their paces ahead of their weekend Premier League fixture.
Spurs host Brighton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, hoping to seal a fifth successive home victory and bounce back from their disappointing result last time out.
Tottenham twice failed to hang on to a lead in their 2-2 draw at Everton last weekend, while the Seagulls ran out 4-2 winners over M23 derby foes Crystal Palace.
On Thursday, Spurs star James Maddison shared a photo from training of himself and several teammates on his Instagram stories.
“Couple imposters. W’s only around here,” joked the Tottenham playmaker as he strategically placed red X emojis over three players’ faces.
Max Robson, one of the Tottenham academy’s most promising talents, also featured in the picture as the Spurs boss gave him a chance in senior training.
The 21-year-old has been a regular for the Tottenham Under-21s this season, playing in all but one of their Premier League 2 games and winning every single one.
Tottenham talent Max Robson is ‘a real joy to watch’
Superhotspur wrote about the talented player back in 2021 and sung his praises. At the time, he routinely played in attack, but he’s now routinely playing at full-back.
“The player, who can also play up-front as a false-nine, or in central-midfield and out wide, is a player who loves to take players on for skill,” wrote the Spurs youth team expert.
“Always looking to play the ball forward and be creative in possession, Robson’s off the ball pressing and overall work is consistently very good.
“A versatile but very talented and determined player on the pitch, Robson is fearless on the ball.

“But it’s his ability to get into really good pockets of space, which makes him so potent inside the penalty area.
“He also has very good reactions and can dribble with the ball at a good pace, as well.
“While he clearly has a tremendous work ethic on the pitch, his quality with the ball is excellent, and he’s a real joy to watch on the pitch.”
It’s always good to see academy players get called up to senior training, and Robson looks like a top talent with a bright future ahead of him.
Let’s see whether he continues to feature in training sessions. He’s yet to make his senior Tottenham debut, so he’ll be aiming for that over the course of the year.
If all goes well, we might see Robson get a few minutes here and there, feature in pre-season, and perhaps get a loan move next season to get first-team experience.
