Tottenham Hotspur will look to move up into the Premier League’s top four this weekend, for a day at least.
Spurs, currently fifth in the table, head to Fulham in a 5:30pm kickoff on Saturday. Should they win, they’ll leapfrog Aston Villa into fourth.
There’s a chance Tottenham can stay put in the Champions League spots into the international break, depending on how Villa fare at West Ham on Sunday.
Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that Spurs will be without defender Micky van de Ven, who suffered an injury setback last time out.
The 22-year-old was forced off just four minutes into the second-half of Tottenham’s win over Villa last weekend, with Radu Dragusin taking his place.
Postecoglou has confirmed that Dragusin will start in place of Van de Ven against Fulham, which would leave a space open on the Spurs bench.
‘Terrific’ Alfie Dorrington spotted in Tottenham training
However, it looks as though there’s a chance Tottenham academy talent Alfie Dorrington could take that spot.
On Friday, Spurs shared a video on YouTube of the players training at Hotspur Way, and the 18-year-old was spotted in the session, 51 seconds in.
Dorrington has been instrumental for the Tottenham Under-21s this season, helping them win the opening 11 games of the Premier League 2 campaign.

The 6ft 5in ace has been at Tottenham for five years and has quickly risen through the ranks to the point he now looks a cut above at Under-21 level.
Football.london‘s Alasdair Gold, speaking on a Q&A earlier this season, said Dorrington is a “terrific young defender”.
Meanwhile, Tottenham youth team expert Superhotspur described the player as a “tall centre-half with skill on the ball that is so good that he could easily play in midfield.”
Superhotspur added: “Alfie is in my opinion one of the very best footballing centre-halves that I have ever seen in the Spurs Academy set-up.”
Dorrington has made 11 Tottenham matchday squads this season, of which 10 have come in the Premier League.
He has been out with a hamstring injury but it looks as though he has recovered. Let’s see whether he could feature in the Spurs matchday squad against Fulham this weekend.
