Liverpool rounded off their season with a defeat against Real Madrid in Paris on what was a dismal night all around for the club, but that hasn’t stopped them partying today.

Despite missing out on the Champions League and Premier League title in the end, it was still a fantastic season for the Reds. An FA Cup and League Cup were bagged, while the other two major trophies were missed out on by the narrowest of narrow margins.

Of course, Liverpool’s fans had a tough time of things last night. Multiple videos and images have surfaced of what looked like unacceptable stadium entry conditions over in France. But despite that horror show, it hasn’t stopped the Reds fans coming out in force tonight for the end of season parade.

And one Liverpool player, Andy Robertson, took time out on his Twitter account to send a message to those thousands of loyal Liverpool supporters lining the streets tonight.

Robertson is already a fan favourite among the Anfield faithful. Of course, little messages like this do his reputation no harm whatsoever, and you can tell it’s from the heart as well.

TBR’s View: Liverpool Fans Can Still Hold Their Heads High

Yes, they missed out on the big two they wanted and an unprecedented quadruple went down the pan a bit. But they still had a remarkable season in Liverpool. Fans, then, should be proud of their team.

Jurgen Klopp has done a remarkable job with Liverpool over the years and winning another two trophies at most other clubs would be deemed a huge success. It’s only because it’s Liverpool that there is a slight twinge of disappointment about the other two losses.

Robertson’s tweet here about the Liverpool fans is a nice touch. The Reds fans love their club, and they show that year on year whenever there’s reason to celebrate.
