Leeds United returned to winning ways with a 1-0 win over Bristol City on a day when their promotion rivals faltered.
Luke Ayling’s goal stopped an in-form Robins team in their tracks, whilst Fulham lost and Forest and Brentford could only draw.
The Whites have been in horrific form of late but after losing against Forest last week they have now claimed four points from tough games with Brentford and Bristol City.
Despite the scoreline, Leeds should have been more comfortable and following the game ex-player Andy Couzens took to Twitter to say as much.
He called the game the most one-sided 1-0 victory he had seen in quite some time, citing the result as ‘massive’.
That has to be the most one sided 1-0 win I have seen for a very long time. Great performance should of been at least 4-0 apart from there keeper making some great saves. Massive 3 points #mot

Marcelo Bielsa’s men were far superior to yesterday’s opposition. The Whites had 21 shots to Bristol City’s three, claiming 69% of the overall possession.
Leeds now have three points on Fulham in third and the hope will be that yesterday’s win can reignite their push towards the Premier League.
Couzens spent four years at Leeds from 1993-1997 and is still a frequent visitor at Elland Road these days.
Although the club’s supporters will be delighted with the victory, it did perhaps highlight how wasteful Leeds can be once again.
The Whites missed several gilt-edged chances and should have been out of sight during the contest.
Against better opposition, they might have paid the price and it would seem that if Leeds keep creating such chances, it won’t be too long before someone gets a good hiding from Bielsa’s team.
