Leeds United chairman Andrea Radrizzani has sent a message to Kiko Casilla after his exit from Elland Road was confirmed yesterday.
Casilla has left Leeds to join Elche on loan, with the Spaniard now expected to have played his last game for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
It brings to an end a three year stay with the Whites, where he made 61 appearances.
And Radrizzani sent out a heartfelt message to Casilla, thanking him for his contribution to Leeds.
Most of Casilla’s work for Leeds was done in the Championship, as he was ultimately forced out of the team by Illan Meslier.
Meslier, who is 14 years Casilla’s junior, has proven to be a far more reliable figure in net for Leeds than the Spaniard.

Casilla actually only made six Premier League appearances last term, with the bulk of those coming towards the end of the season, when Bielsa clearly wanted to give the goalkeeper a send off.
With Casilla departing it is now expected that Leeds will move to sign another stopper to provide competition for Meslier.
The Yorkshire Evening Post says that Victor Orta is already working on a deal, which could see a new custodian join Leeds.
