Leeds United have recently been linked with a surprise move for Italian striker Andrea Petagna. Although not many Leeds fans were taking the links too seriously, reports in his homeland have now suggested such a deal is not going to happen.
Both reports, in fact, come from the same source.
Last week, TuttoMercatoWeb reported that Leeds were keen on signing the SPAL attacker. They claimed Leeds had seen a €15 million (£13.8m) bid for the player rejected this summer.

With the future of Kemar Roofe now looking like being away from Elland Road, this news took on more significance in recent days.
However, TMW are now suggesting a deal will not happen. Firstly, the Serie A side has no intention of selling Petagna for the fee Leeds reportedly offered.
But secondly, and most importantly, Petagna has no interest in joining Leeds United at this time.
Petagna will be hoping to force his way back into the Italian national team picture this season. Playing in the Championship would make that difficult for the 24-year-old former Atalanta striker.
Not many Leeds fans would have given this story much credence when it initially broke. But now the original source has effectively canceled out their initial claim, it is safe to say Petagna is unlikely to join Leeds United this summer.
