Andre Onana has told BBC Sport that he would like to play in the Premier League in the future in comments that will certainly attract the attention of Tottenham Hotspur supporters.
The Sun reported over the weekend that Spurs plan to make a move for Onana amid doubts over Hugo Lloris’s long-term future with the club.

The report noted that the £35 million-rated Ajax stopper is Mauricio Pochettino’s top goalkeeper target. And he has seemingly left the door open to a future move to England as he explained that he expects to leave the Eredivisie side at some stage.
“There’s good competition and everyone wants to play [in England] but to play you need to get a chance,” he told BBC Sport.

“The Premier League is not for everybody so we will see. Now, I am with Ajax and I am happy to be the first-choice goalkeeper.”
“It’s always important for me to move on. I am not going to stay here forever but now I am focused, so let’s keep it this way,” he went on to add.
Onana may have conceded four goals against Chelsea in the Champions League on Tuesday, but he also demonstrated his class in the draw.
The 23-year-old made an outstanding save to deny Michy Batshuayi when the Blues were chasing a winner. The Cameroon international managed to get down and claw the ball into his grasp after Batshuayi had got a shot away.
It is an encouraging sign for Spurs that he is keen to play in England. He may well have some attractive opportunities on the table come next summer. So Tottenham may need every advantage they can possibly get as they look to win the race his signature.
