Andre Gomes can become Tottenham's next top technician
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to rival Everton for the permanent services of Andre Gomes (The Telegraph).
The Portguese midfielder has enjoyed a fine start to life in the Premier League at Goodison Park, following his summer loan move from Barcelona.
Gomes spent some time recovering from a hamstring injury at first, but has since come into the side and has been one of Marco Silva’s standout performers.

Should he continue his form through to the end of the season, it would be unsurprising to see some of Europe’s top clubs join the race to sign him.
Silva has made no secret of the fact that he wants to keep hold of Gomes, but it could end up being a tough old scrap.
Gomes could be the next great technician at Spurs
Tottenham love a player with excellent technical ability.
Down the years they have signed some absolutely brilliant pure footballers, such as Rafael van der Vaart, Luka Modric and Christian Eriksen.
It seems that modern day Tottenham sides always seems to contain a skilful player in the central attacking area of the pitch.

Tottenham allegedly targeting Gomes is quite interesting when one remembers that Christian Eriksen still hasn’t signed a new deal at the club.
At the moment the Dane would be free to leave the club at the end of next season; could that man Spurs are planning to cash in and then snaup up Gomes to replace him as the next top technician?
