Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur want to take advantage of the situation of Conor Gallagher at Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea.
That is according to journalist Dean Jones, who has reported how much Chelsea are looking for Gallagher in transfer fees.
So, what has been reported about Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Conor Gallagher? Let’s take a look.
Tottenham Hotspur think Chelsea could sell Conor Gallagher
Well, according to journalist Dean Jones in GiveMeSport, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Conor Gallagher from London and Premier League rivals Chelsea in the January transfer window.
The reporter has claimed that Tottenham think that Chelsea could sell Gallagher, who, according to Blues legend Frank Lampard, has “an amazing character” and is a “big talent”. Joe Cole also rates the 23-year-old England international midfielder highly.

Chelsea, who beat Fulham 1-0 in the Premier League on Saturday, are looking for £45 million in transfer fees for Gallagher.
Jones told GiveMeSport: “I don’t think Spurs have a specific midfield target to fall back on if they don’t sign Gallagher. I certainly haven’t heard of anything concrete yet in that sense anyway.
“I think we will see how this situation unfolds first because Tottenham really do see it as an ideal scenario to take advantage of if Chelsea make him available and at the moment there remains a feeling that Chelsea could sell. The starting price on a fee would be £45million.”
My View: Tottenham Hotspur should bid for Conor Gallagher
In my opinion, Tottenham Hotspur should bid for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher in the January transfer window.
If Spurs think that they could be able to do a deal with Chelsea for £45 million, then they should go for it, especially as the North London club were keen on Gallagher in the summer of 2023 as well.
I think that Gallagher would make Tottenham a better and more combative team in midfield. The 23-year-old is very good with the ball at his feet, can drive the team forward, impose himself in the middle of the park and hold his own.
Moreover, Gallagher is 23 now. In my view, he could develop and improve even further.
Gallagher has made 119 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. He has scored 13 goals and given 10 assists in those games.
