Liverpool are being linked with a potential move for former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey. The website TRANSFERmarketWEB is suggesting that the Welshman could be moved on by Juventus after just one season at the club.
It is reported that Liverpool, along with Chelsea and Manchester United, are two clubs seemingly keen on bringing Ramsey back to the Premier League.
However, a move to Liverpool would be a huge surprise, considering the club’s previous decision not to swoop.
In 2018, it was being heavily rumoured that Ramsey could be on his way to Liverpool at the end of his Arsenal contract in 2019.

However, as reported by The Mirror, Jurgen Klopp decided not to do the deal. The report claimed that at 28, Ramsey was considered too old for a big contract investment by Klopp. The report also claimed that Liverpool were very wary of Ramsey’s injury record.
Considering the fact Ramsey has not gotten any younger, Klopp deciding to sign Ramsey now would make no sense.
Indeed, it was also suggested that Liverpool could not offer Ramsey what he wanted financially. As reported by the London Evening Standard, Ramsey’s £400,000-a-week wage demands made him an impossible get.
So Ramsey would not fit the age profile for Liverpool targets, has a sketchy injury record that Klopp is wary of and would be too expensive. Liverpool fans can likely forget all about this transfer rumour.
