United States national team manager Gregg Berhalter has praised Leeds manager Jesse Marsch and midfielders Brenden Aaronson and Tyler Adams.
Leeds have a distinctly American flavour, which was working well in the early part of the season but has hit roadblocks now.
In an interview with the Times, Berhalter had special praise for Aaronson, but backed all his countrymen for success in the Premier League.

Berhalter on Aaronson, Marsch and Adams
“Tyler’s a warrior, the guy that goes on the field and battles. That’s a huge quality he has and he’s not afraid of pressure,” Berhalter said.
“Brenden’s relentless. He’s a guy that almost doesn’t realise the magnitude of stuff because he’s so relentless, he just goes out there and does it. It’s amazing to see his impact so far at Leeds.
“Jesse’s a resilient guy,” he says. “You don’t get in his position if you’re not resilient. It’s not ‘an American manager’ who’s under pressure, it’s ‘a football manager’ under pressure.
“There’s been a number of them throughout the Premier League already this season, a number in the Championship, a number in the Bundesliga. That’s just our profession.”
Leeds have actually produced some decent performances in recent games, and their underlying attacking numbers are not bad either.
But Marsch finds himself under intense pressure, recently expressing he knows he has just the four games to save his job.
Leeds have backed their man in the transfer market and saw him as the natural successor to Marcelo Bielsa but it remains to be seen how long they stick with him.
