Bertrand Traore reportedly faces three to four weeks out with a hamstring injury sustained in a friendly against Liverpool.
According to Foot Mercato, the 25-year-old attacker felt pain in his hamstring during Aston Villa’s friendly at Anfield. Traore featured for Dean Smith’s side on Saturday in their Premier League opener.
The winger came on in the second half and was able to shave a 3-0 deficit down to 3-2 as Villa lost to Watford on the road. However, Traore will now be out until early September.

It is a blow for Villa in what has been a week to forget following their Premier League loss to newly-promoted Watford. Traore was one of the club’s best performers last season.
And with the departure of Jack Grealish, Traore has extra responsibility with Villa this season, yet this injury will complicate matters.
The Midlands side face the likes of Newcastle United and Brentford before the international break. But fans on social media are fuming that Traore has sustained an injury in what was ultimately a nothing match.

Any player getting injuried in a friendly game is painful, and supporters are angry that Traore picked up one against Liverpool.
