Bruno Fernandes scored his 100th Manchester United goal in their weekend win over Chelsea, underlining his status as a recent great at Old Trafford.
The captain, 31, achieved the feat on his 200th Premier League appearance, and he is just four games away from 300 in total for United.
Fernandes is key to United’s hopes under Ruben Amorim, as scrutiny continues over his best position in Amorim’s system.

However, listening to his teammates, it is clear that they all rely on Fernandes to produce moments of magic as they were asked to name their best moment at United.
Amad Diallo lists three standout Bruno Fernandes moments at Manchester United but one stands out
While most of Bruno Fernandes’ teammates listed a specific goal or gave a light-hearted answer, young winger Amad Diallo offered a thoughtful, heartfelt response.
Giving three favourite Bruno Fernandes moments, Amad said: “The hat-trick against Real Sociedad, the goal against Liverpool at home, so many great moments.
“But if I had to pick one, I would say maybe lifting a trophy [FA Cup in 2024] is very special for him.”
Amad was an unused substitute in the 2024 FA Cup final with Fernandes captaining the side and assisting the winning goal for Kobbie Mainoo against Manchester City. He also scored in the final a year before.
Classy Bruno Fernandes stories show what he brings to Manchester United as well as goals
Also in the video were two stories from new signing Senne Lammens and academy goalkeeper Dermot Mee.
Lammens said: “The first moment I met him he made me feel welcome at the club, and coming from your captain, it’s a nice feeling.

Mee recalled: “When I was about 18, the first time I went up [to the first team] and trained with him, he gave me a bet that if I could save two out of five of his shots he’d give me a signed shirt.
“I didn’t do it, but he went and got me one anyway and sorted me out.”
So while there were a number of impressive goals and moments being remembered in the video, those two stories of Fernandes’ leadership perhaps speak more to his contributions behind the scenes at United.
