Rangers have today confirmed the signing of goalkeeper, Jon McLaughlin, and Gers fans have been reacting in their droves to the announcement of Steven Gerrard’s latest signing.

McLaughlin has penned a two-year deal at Ibrox after opting not to stay in Sunderland. The 32-year-old will add experience and competition for Gerrard’s men as they look to dethrone Celtic next season.

A full Scotland international, McLaughlin was delighted to sign a deal with the Scottish giants, commenting:

“It’s a very proud moment for myself and for the family. It is great to be back up here in Scotland.”

Have made in excess of 400 career appearances, Rangers fans will be hoping that McLaughlin can indeed help them to title glory in the next season.
