Ally McCoist has told Premier Sports that Glen Kamara deserves eveything coming his way, after the midfielder penned a new four-year Rangers deal.
Kamara, 25, joined Rangers back in January 2019 – and has since played a huge 116 times for the Gers. He got 90 minutes on Wednesday.
The Gers beat Livinsgton 2-0 at Ibrox in the Scottish League Cup quarter-finals. Kemar Roofe and Alfredo Morelos got the goals against Livi.
Of course, Kamara was linked with the likes of Arsenal and Leeds in the summer – rated at £10m. But now, he has commited his future to Rangers.

Rangers legend McCoist reacted when asked about Kamara’s new deal. He labelled his arrival as “amazing”, and that he deserves improved terms.
“Oh 100%, ” McCoist told Premier Sports, when asked if Kamara’s new deal was deserved. “What a signing he has been. £50,000? Absolutely amazing.
“When he came to the club, and even at Dundee, you can see he has been well-schooled. He has had a good upbringing, a good education.
“I think it was Arsenal. He has been well brought up, he has been well-coached and he deserves everything that is coming his way.”

McCoist on Kamara: Rangers star crucial to Gerrard’s side
Very much like Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, Gerrard has got Rangers playing with a hard-working midfield and overlapping full-backs.
It means that like Jordan Henderson, Gini Wijnaldum – before he left – Curtis Jones, James Milner, Rangers need hard-working midfielders.
Midfielders that have plenty of ball-playing attributes, but are willing to run over 10 kilometres in a match. Kamara is the perfect example at Rangers.
Clearly, he is excellent at Rangers and renowned for his ball-playing ability. But it is his work rate and fitness that makes him crucial to the Ibrox side.
While Kamara is still likely to have admirers from down south, handing him a new contract makes sense. It means Rangers can charge full price.
