Ally McCoist sent a heartfelt five-word message to Rangers defender Borna Barisic after his performance against Royal Antwerp.
The 28-year-old defender scored two penalties for the Gers in an enthralling Europa League Round of 32 fixture.
Rangers now have a 4-3 advantage from the first leg after their win over Belgian side Antwerp.
Steven Gerrard’s team are dominating domestically as they charge towards the league title, but proved some more of their European pedigree last night with their 4-3 victory.
With usual spot-kick taker James Tavernier off the pitch through injury, the responsibility fell on Barisic to step up from 12 yards twice in the second half.
He emphatically finished two penalties that Rangers were awarded, including in the 90th minute to secure a late win.
Barisic posted on Instagram after the result, which prompted a response from Rangers legend McCoist:
Barisic, 28, showed his class from the penalty spot against Antwerp, which is hardly a surprise given the technique he usually possesses from set-pieces all over the park.
The attack-minded full-back is part of a really impressive Rangers team that will be favourites to quality for the last 16 of the competition.
They have shown they can score goals for fun on the European stage, but Gerrard will need to try tighten them up defensively if they have aspirations of going deep into the competition.
