Ally McCoist was left raving about Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney following his international display on Wednesday night for his country.
Tierney delivered an inspirational performance to help Scotland beat minnows Faroe Islands 4-0 at home in a World Cup qualifier.
The 23-year-old defender slots in as a left-sided centre-back when representing Scotland, as Liverpool’s Andy Robertson plays left-back.
But it didn’t prevent him having a massive attacking influence in midweek
The left-footer remarkably provided three assists on the night, including two that were almost identical pin-point crosses into the penalty box from out wide.
Despite his versatility, Tierney always starts at left-back for Arsenal when fit, and is brilliant with his overlapping runs going forward.
Pundit McCoist hailed the Arsenal man after last night.
“Tierney is out of this world. His form has been fantastic the last three [international] games. He’s playing left centre-back by the way, and it’s the willingness to get forward,’ McCoist told ITV 1 (11:25pm, 31 March).

TBR’s View:
In today’s current market, Arsenal’s £25million (Sky Sports) deal to sign Tierney back in 2019 from Celtic has proved inspired.
He’s everything you need in a full-back. Adventurous and creative going forward, but defensively sharp and aggressive.
The defender has now returned to the Emirates Stadium after starting all three games for Scotland during the international break, so the club need to keep a close eye on his fitness due to his heavy workload.
He’s one of the players in the Arsenal squad that manager Mikel Arteta should be building his team around.
