'You know something': TalkSPORT pundit has just dropped huge Arsenal v Liverpool prediction
Arsenal take on Liverpool this weekend and TalkSPORT regular and respected pundit, Ally McCoist, has given his prediction this morning.
The Gunners go into the game ahead of Liverpool by some margin and many will feel the Reds need to pick up three points if they are to breathe any sort of life into their dwindling title hopes. Arsenal, meanwhile, can go 14 points clear of the Reds if they can pick up yet another PL victory.
And after the BBC’s Chris Sutton predicted Arsenal will ‘hammer’ Liverpool, TalkSPORT’s McCoist seems to go along with that thought process and believes Arsenal go into the game as favourites.
“You know something, I’ve got Arsenal slight favourites for the weekend,” McCoist said on TalkSPORT.
The former Rangers star’s prediction came after fellow in-studio pundit Ray Parlour also made the same claim, suggesting the pressure is on Liverpool to beat Arsenal more than the other way around.
Liverpool have got the better of Arsenal many times in recent years. However, a changing of the guard could be underway, with the Reds having a nightmare start to the season while Arsenal continue to impress and sit atop the Premier League table.
TBR’s View: McCoist Right With Arsenal v Liverpool Prediction
In years gone by, you’d have simply said Liverpool will have too much for Arsenal. It’s been proven in recent seasons as well.
But this year, there is something different about this Arsenal side. They’re playing with a swagger and fight that hasn’t been seen at The Emirates for some time now. Mikel Arteta deserves credit, and if they go 1-0 up against Liverpool, then there could only be one winner.
Of course, Arsenal must not sleep on the Reds. If Salah and co turn up and produce, then the Gunners will be in for a long old afternoon once again.
