Allan Saint-Maximin has paid tribute to Sergio Reguilon on Twitter after the Tottenham Hotspur star’s actions during the first-half of Sunday’s clash with Newcastle United at St James’ Park.
Spurs won 3-2 on Tyneside. But the result proved to be one of the less significant events associated with the weekend’s game.

Of course, it was the first time that Newcastle’s new owners have attended a fixture since completing their purchase of the Magpies.
But there was also an incident during the first-half that brought a halt to the game for some time.
A fan was taken unwell in the stands. But it only became apparent to most just how serious the situation was once Reguilon had alerted the referee to stop the game.
Shortly after, Eric Dier was seen heading to the bench to call for the defibrillator with the supporter suffering a cardiac arrest.

And understandably, both Reguilon and Dier were named joint men of the match for their actions.
Reguilon was clearly delighted to hear the positive update on the fan after the game. And he sent a further message on social media to wish them well.
And in response, Saint-Maximin has sent a classy message to the Tottenham star, lauding him for what he did…
Reguilon, Dier and several others will never receive enough credit for their actions
In those situations, every second can be absolutely vital. So what Reguilon did, what Dier did and what those around the fan did, all played their part.
That fan will hopefully get the chance to return to St James’ Park in the near future.
And those who helped will never receive enough credit for making that possible.
