Arsenal are one of the clubs reportedly interested in Benfica forward Darwin Nunez, who will play at Anfield tonight.
Nunez scored in the first leg of Liverpool’s Champions League quarter-final clash with Benfica last week, but couldn’t prevent a 3-1 defeat.
He netted past Alisson, who said ahead of the game how impressed he has been with Nunez, according to Liverpool’s official website.

“It was a tough game,” he said of the first leg, despite Liverpool’s win.
“They have quick strikers, they have a strong striker as a No.9. I know Everton as well from Brazil – I know his qualities, how good he is.
“They gave us a lot of work to do, but we are ready to face them, we are ready and prepared to face that match and to achieve our goals.”

Reports have claimed that Arsenal are in talks to sign Nunez when the transfer market opens in the summer.
It appears they would need to be in the Champions League in order to truly tempt him, and the last two results have really hit their hopes of doing that.
Nunez’s career would go to a new level if he knocked Liverpool out of Europe at Anfield tonight, and in the process, he would end their quadruple hopes.
