This week has seen Tottenham Hotspur defender Davinson Sanchez speak highly of his compatriot and Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos. Speaking to The Scottish Sun, he explained how the Ibrox striker has the potential to go on thriving in Glasgow.

“Can he reach the top level? Yeah, yeah, everyone can.

“I don’t know if he will change for another club, but it’s also a case that he can score more and more goals and become better than he is right now for his current club.

“His mentality is going to improve a lot. I will say all the things that have happened in his life are going to be important for him to improve.”

The Colombian scored 30 goals in 48 games for the Glasgow club this season. It is that sort of form which has seen him linked with an exit from Rangers this summer.

Plenty of teams around Europe are keen on the player who is valued at £20 million, according to the Daily Record.

So should Tottenham Hotspur consider a move for the player?

Spurs still need to add a new striker to their ranks to help back up Harry Kane, The club’s dip in form toward the end of the Premier League season, when Kane was out of action, clearly demonstrates that point.

Morelos could be a perfect option.

Whilst he is being publicly valued at £20 million there will undoubtedly be wiggle room on that price-tag.

He also falls into the remit of Tottenham’s desire to bring in young talent and despite his discipline problems is a potent goalscorer.

When it comes to bringing in a realistic option up front for Tottenham, they don’t come more likely than Morelos.
