The agent of Glasgow Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has spoken out about his client’s hopes for the future – and it doesn’t appear to be good news for the Ibrox faithful.
Morelos is one of the Scottish Premiership’s standout talents, having weighed in with an impressive 77 goals and 29 assists for Rangers since his move to Ibrox from HJK Helsinki in 2017.
The Colombia international’s goals have helped Rangers climb back into the upper echelons of the Scottish Premiership table and mount title challenges in the past few years.

Given his talents, transfer speculation is never far away – according to a Goal.com report from May, Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace are all interested in signing the 24-year-old.
Although Miki Bouraoul claims there is interest in Morelos from England, the player’s preference is to play in Italy, according to the agent – who admits he offered the Colombian to Napoli.
“The possible arrival of (Victor Osimhen) excludes the engagement of another attacker; I’m talking about Alfredo Morelos,” Bouraoul told Calcio Napoli 24. “Last year he was the top scorer in Scotland and this year he scored a lot with Glasgow Rangers.
“I had proposed him to (Cristiano Giuntoli, Napoli director of football), after he had given me his approval. He is a very valuable player for whom there are different clubs interested, especially in the Premier League, but his preference is to move to Italy.”
The outlet also adds an editor’s note saying Bologna are keen on Morelos.
TBR View:
Morelos is a superb player whose goalscoring record is on a par with Celtic counterpart Odsonne Edouard, the two being the standout players in the Scottish Premiership and the most likely to move on to bigger things – 29 goals last season says it all really.
That said, with his agent confirming he’s offered Morelos to Napoli, with the player’s apparent hopes for the future involving a move to Italy, it remains to be seen whether the Colombian sharpshooter will still be at Ibrox come the start of next season.
