Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has lavished praise on Bukayo Saka during a press conference ahead of the Gunners taking on Olympiacos tomorrow night.
The Frenchman has been raving about the teenager to Football London and went as far as to suggest that he is the best young player in the Premier League right now.
Saka has been a regular in the team under Mikel Arteta with the Spaniard unleashing him as a left-back.
The 19-year-old has a remarkable nine assists this season for the Gunners and is quickly becoming one of their most important players.
Lacazette has struggled for form this season but nonetheless he was quick to praise the impact of Saka.
He told Football London: “He’s really good. I think maybe he’s the best young player in the league. He needs to improve a few things but you can see the quality he has and he’s humble. The best thing for him is to be involved. He wants to work, he accepts criticism because he wants to improve.
“He’s quality. He’s got a good left foot. Because he’s humble, it’s easier for him to improve.”
Saka has been mentioned as being called up for the England squad such as been his tremendous form.
In a way, the youngster could help Lacazette rediscover his poor form. The Frenchman netted his first league goal for 10 games on Sunday and was visibly delighted.
The £182,000-a-week sharpshooter will want to score more goals between now and the end of the season as the Gunners chase down a European spot.
If Saka can continue creating chances like he has been doing, then Lacazette will surely relish such service.
