Alexander Isak training photo proves £125m man means business at Liverpool

Due to the international break, Alexander Isak has only just properly started training with his new teammates at Liverpool.

The Sweden international experienced a chaotic start to September, undergoing a medical ahead of his British record £125m move from Newcastle, jetting off to face Kosovo before then returning to Merseyside for training – all in the space of less than two weeks.

Despite being the new boy at the AXA Training Centre, Alexander Isak does not appear to be messing around as an image emerges from training at Liverpool.

Alexander Isak shows little shyness at Liverpool as telling photo emerges

The Swede only started training with senior Liverpool players such as Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk on Wednesday due to the international break.

Despite the stature of Liverpool, those elite players and the immense pressure on his own shoulders, Isak does not appear to be shy by any means, as one photo has emerged of the 25-year-old shouting in a seemingly furious fashion, also a demanding one as he looks to be pointing to where he wants the ball.

It suggests Isak is highly motivated to make a speedy start at Liverpool, and avoid having to deal with reactionary comments in the media – like his fellow countryman Viktor Gyokeres endured at Arsenal after a slow start following his £64m move from Sporting CP.

People inside Newcastle did not expect the man born in Solna to be at 100% until the end of October, after creating a bespoke fitness plan for the striker while he was still on Tyneside.

Perhaps that is why Isak seems so eager to make the most of his training sessions at the moment, having practically missed the entirety of pre-season after going on strike at Newcastle.

What Liverpool think of Alexander Isak’s performances in training

Despite the fact the new Liverpool No.9 might be slightly less fit than his teammates, insiders at the AXA Training Centre are pleased by what they’ve seen.

TBR Football understand Liverpool think Isak has looked surprisingly sharp in training sessions despite his lack of practice lately, which bodes well for what is to come when he eventually reaches full fitness.

Fortunately for Arne Slot, there is little pressure to throw his new signing in prematurely, as the impressive Hugo Ekitike can boast three goals in four games for Liverpool so far.
