Alexander Isak shares how he feels about transfer stories after links to Arsenal

Alexander Isak has been at the centre of a lot of transfer speculation as of late.

The Newcastle striker is undoubtedly one of the best players in the Premier League right now, and, with that, comes a fair bit of attention.

Arsenal have been linked with Alexander Isak. In fact, Isak is Mikel Arteta’s dream target according to some.

The transfer speculation around Isak has been relentless this month, but the player himself seemingly hasn’t been affected by these reports.

Indeed, speaking during an interview with Alan Shearer for the BBC, Isak says that he has got used to these rumours, and he’s actually found some of the stories written about him this month quite funny.

Alexander Isak amused by transfer speculation

The £60m striker says that he’s actually found a lot of the speculation about his future funny.

The forward says that he’s not all that bothered by the speculation around him, claiming that a lot of what is reported is simply wrong.

“It’s a reality of football, the more goals you score and the better you do, the more people are going to talk.” Shearer said.

“This is something you get used to. Sometimes you see things that makes you laugh and things that aren’t right, but it’s just a part of football. It can’t bother you too much.”

As Shearer says, the transfer speculation around Isak is only natural.

Indeed, any striker who is scoring at this sort of level if bound to be at the centre of a lot of attention.

Isak has been on fire this season, and the numbers show it.

Any player who is scoring at that sort of rate is going to be linked with a move.

Viktor Gyokeres’s future has made headlines all year long after his incredible year with Sporting CP, while Mateo Retegui has been linked with Arsenal as he’s leading the Serie A scoring charts at the moment.

Goalscorers are always in-demand, and the transfer rumour mill never stops turning, so as long as Isak is scoring goals, he’s going to be linked with moves, regardless of if any transfer is forthcoming or not.
