Alexander Isak is the latest in a long line of amazing Liverpool attackers.

Indeed, throughout their history, Liverpool have always been able to boast some truly incredible attacking players.

From Ian Rush and Kenny Dalglish to Luis Suarez and Fernando Torres, Liverpool have had some world-class forward talent over the years.

Even now, Mohamed Salah is one of the best in the world.

Speaking to the Premier League on TikTok, Alexander Isak has been ranking and rating some of Liverpool’s great attackers, and he’s made an interesting claim about two modern greats.

Alexander Isak picks Sadio Mane over Roberto Firmino

Isak was tasked with comparing some of the greatest attackers to ever pull on the famous red shirt.

Comparing such legendary players isn’t an easy task, and, at one point, Isak was asked a very difficult question.

Indeed, Isak was asked to pick between Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

Firmino was an incredible player for Liverpool, while Mane was amazing for the Reds too.

When push came to shove, Isak chose Mane over Firmino.

This is a very difficult decision, even if the stats suggest Mane was the better attacker before his £40m move to Bayern Munich.

Sadio Mane compared to Roberto Firmino

Firmino and Mane are absolutely brilliant players, but it is easy to understand why Isak picked Mane over the Brazilian here.

Indeed, the numbers show just how effective Mane was as a goalscorer.

Roberto Firmino362111760.310.2115 (2017–18, Premier League)

Of course, Firmino’s game was about a lot more than just goals, as he was often linking play between Mane and Salah, making things happen from deeper, even if he wasn’t getting the assists or scoring the goals as regularly as some of his teammates.

Regardless of who you prefer, Firmino and Mane will always be remembered as two of Liverpool’s greatest attackers of the Premier League era.
