TBR Football can confirm that Alexander Isak is training in Spain at his former club Real Sociedad.
Newcastle United sources have informed us that they are ‘aware’ of Isak’s location, but at this point, it is not certain whether the Swedish superstar had permission to travel to Spain.
TBR Football revealed earlier this week that Isak had not been seen at Newcastle’s training ground since he pulled out of their Asian tour, claiming a thigh problem.
The Magpies agreed to him staying, but he then told them he would be training at home on his own, with an individual programme.

Alexander Isak training away from Newcastle United’s Darsley Park
Graeme Bailey, Chief Correspondent at TBR Football, can confirm that Alexander Isak has decided to leave England and travel back to his former club in Spain, who have allowed him to use their training facilities.
TBR Football exclusively revealed on Tuesday that Isak was not training at Darsley Park, and now it has emerged that he has returned to Sociedad.
Speaking about the situation, Bailey told TBR Football: “I am told that Isak is not in England. When asked, Newcastle have confirmed they know this is the case, but would not discuss the details.
“We believe that Isak has little intention of returning to Newcastle as he maintains confidence he will be joining Liverpool.
“Indeed, it may be that the next time he sets foot in England will be on Merseyside rather than Tyneside.”
TBR Football understands that Newcastle remain split over the sale of Isak, with some keen to keep their talisman and others wanting to sell an unhappy player.
Liverpool are ready to bid for Isak, and there is a belief that their offer is set to break the Premier League record, worth over £120m.
Benjamin Sesko is Newcastle’s top target to replace the 25-year-old, although Manchester United have entered the race for the Slovenian striker.
Yoane Wissa still pushing to leave Brentford for Newcastle
Another Newcastle target remains Yoane Wissa, despite Brentford showing strong resistance to keep the striker.
The Bees are reluctant to lose another key player from their squad, having already sold Christian Norgaard and Bryan Mbeumo.
TBR Football understands Brentford want £50m for Wissa, although that is a fee the Toon would be unwilling to pay.
The 28-year-old reported for training this morning in West London, however, he has made it clear he will not be training with his teammates.
Wissa made it clear he wants to join Newcastle, following the Toon’s opening bid of £25m being rejected.
