Alex Rae singled out Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos for praise after his individual display on Wednesday night.
Steven Gerrard’s side recorded a dramatic 1-0 victory away to Livingston in midweek, as they moved within just four points of the Scottish Premiership title.
It was a contest that the Gers expectedly had to dig deep and fight extremely hard.
Manager Gerrard was sent off at half time after his comments to the referee, presumably over the incident where Morelos received a yellow card as the referee judged him to have dived in the penalty box.
But Morelos had the last laugh by scoring an 87th minute winner to spark wild celebrations.
The 24-year-old tapped in a simple finish to seal the three points, as confirmation of the league title draws ever closer.
Ex-Rangers midfielder Rae picked out the Colombian striker as his man of the match on Twitter:
Perseverance from MORELOS he looked was the main threat tonight and got his reward with a tap in.
Time to outlaw these astroturf pitches.

Morelos was at the heart of everything against Livingston, whether that be the penalty incident or the last minute goal.
He was wrongly booked for simulation, but he didn’t sulk by putting his head down and instead battle away in the final third scrapping for everything.
The striker got his reward by being in the right place at the right time for the winner and he’s hit a purple patch of form at a great time in the season.
He’s now scored 14 goals and set up 12 assists in all competitions.
