Alex Rae praises two Rangers players after Europa League victory

Alex Rae picked out Rangers duo Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent for their performances on Thursday night in the Europa League.

Steven Gerrard’s side are in today’s Europa League last 16 draw after beating Royal Antwerp over two legs in the previous round.

The Gers followed up a 4-3 away win against Antwerp by beating them 5-2 at Ibrox last night in a memorable Round of 32 tie.

Rae praised two of the Rangers goalscorers on Twitter for their display in the 5-2 success, including “exceptional” attacker Kent.

Morelos, 24, opened the scoring during the game and the centre-forward was too much for the Antwerp backline.

24-year-old winger Kent, who cost Rangers £7million (BBC), was also explosive in the final third for the Scottish giants and finished off a great team goal for the third.

TBR’s View:

Kent has looked back to his best in the past couple of games and one real knack of the Rangers squad this season is that individual players have found top form at different parts of the year.

English wide player Kent scored one and assisted another against Antwerp, plus he also netted in the first leg.

He’s someone that doesn’t lack confidence on the ball and looks to be direct in the final third, which is why he’s someone that defenders will hate facing.
