Alex Crook names two Premier League players who won’t be joining Leeds United before deadline day

Leeds United finally picked up their first win of the new campaign last time out as Daniel Farke’s men got the better of Sheffield Wednesday.

The Whites finally appear to be heading in the right direction after a rather nervy start to their Championship campaign.

One thing that hasn’t helped Leeds United up until this point has been all the outgoings. Georginio Rutter was the latest to leave as Brighton triggered his £40 million release clause.

Wilfried Gnonto is another who’s rumoured to be pushing to leave Leeds, and you wouldn’t bet against it having seen how fast things can develop already in this window.

In terms of incomings, it appears as if Daniel Farke has suffered a double transfer blow as TalkSPORT reporter Alex Crook has dropped an evening hammer…

Alex Crooks says Philip Billing and Max Aarons won’t be joining Leeds from Bournemouth

Manor Solomon’s move to Leeds is still at risk of a potential collapse, as the wait for an update on the medical or an announcement goes on.

And, now it appears as if Max Aarons and Philip Billing won’t be rocking up at Leeds, as TalkSPORT reporter Alex Crook dropped a bit of an update.

This really is typical of how Leeds United’s transfer window has gone so far.

Where do Leeds need to strengthen?

Leeds are looking extremely light at full-back, with Sam Byram, Jayden Bogle and Junior Firpo currently the clubs only recognised players in the position.

Elsewhere, Joe Rothwell, Ethan Ampadu and Ilia Gruev represent Leeds United’s only three out-and-out central midfielders, which could become a huge area of concern should one of them pick up an injury.

Daniel Farke is interested in signing Dejan Ljubicic which would add much more depth and versatility, as he has the ability to play as a six, in an attacking midfield role or on the right.

However, further worries could come the Whites’ way as a Wilfried Gnonto exit would lighten things out wide, despite Largie Ramazani joining recently.
