Federico Chiesa is on the market this summer for a bargain price.
The Italian winger is said to be available for just £17m this summer, and that has to be considered an incredible fee in this day and age.
Once upon a time, Chiesa was seen as one of the hottest properties in world football, and while injuries have hampered his career in recent times, the winger is still a top talent.
As you can imagine, Chiesa’s availability has led to many questions around whether he’ll move to one of the Premier League’s top clubs.
Tottenham Hotspur have done a lot of shopping in Serie A in recent years, so, understandably, those links have cropped up.
However, speaking on the Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham Podcast, Alasdair Gold has poured cold water on this one, claiming that his sources at Tottenham have played down the idea of Spurs making a move for Chiesa, despite his availability.

Tottenham not in for Federico Chiesa
Gold shared what he’s been told about the Juventus star and Tottenham.
“It’s one of those where you see the price and you’re like ‘ooh’. I asked about Chiesa a few days back around various people and everything coming back was ‘no’. I should stress that was a few days ago,” Gold said.
Tottenham move would make sense
Spurs may be playing down the idea of signing Chiesa, but this is a signing that would make a lot of sense.
With Fabio Paratici said to still be playing a part at Spurs on a consultancy basis, his Juventus links could help Tottenham get a deal done, while Chiesa will have a pre-existing relationship with the likes of Dejan Kulusevski, Rodrigo Bentancur and Cristian Romero from their time at Juventus.
Chiesa is a fantastic player available for a brilliant fee, and Spurs would be fools to not consider a move here.
