Alex Scott is starting to make a real name for himself in the Premier League.
The former Bristol City midfielder was tipped to be a star in the top league during his time at Ashton Gate, but, sadly, his development was hampered at the beginning of the season by injury.
However, since his return to action, Scott has been utterly brilliant, and many of the clubs that looked at signing him in the summer may be regretting missing out.
One team that was linked was Tottenham Hotspur, and speaking on the Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham Podcast, Alasdair Gold has claimed that Spurs will continue to track the £25m man, claiming that he’s actually a Tottenham fan as well.

Spurs will keep an eye on Scott
Gold shared what he knows about the midfielder.
“He’s a talent. I’m gutted that Spurs didn’t go for him and I think he’s a big Spurs fan as well I’m pretty sure. He’ll be one I’m sure Spurs will keep an eye on in years ahead, but he’s gone to Bournemouth and he’s getting more regular football than he would’ve done at Spurs,” Gold said.
Edge
Scott already looks like a player who is destined for bigger things, and the fact that he’s a Tottenham supporter gives Spurs a huge edge in the race for his signature when the time comes.
Of course, he’s only just joined Bournemouth, so it may be some time before he ends up moving on, but when it does come time for him to make his next move, don’t be shocked if Tottenham are at the front of that particular queue.
Scott is a fantastic player, and he could be utterly brilliant in Ange Postecoglou’s team in that Yves Bissouma role, driving through the midfield with ease.
This young man is certainly one to keep an eye on over the next few years.
