Leeds United sold Archie Gray to Tottenham earlier this summer.
The Whites were said to be heartbroken to lose their academy star, but Leeds’ loss was Tottenham’s gain.
Indeed, the midfielder is said to be a top prospect, and there’s a feeling within the game that Archie Gray could go to the top.
Gray impressed in his first pre-season outing for Spurs, despite playing at centre-back, and according to Alasdair Gold, speaking on his YouTube channel, the teenager could be in store for a big season.
Gold says that Gray is likely to play more football than many people expect this term, claiming that the player has wowed people behind the scenes so much at Tottenham that he’s likely to get a good amount of first-team chances.

Gold shared his verdict on Gray and his teammate Lucas Bergvall.
“They are two of the brightest young talents. There’s a feeling outside that Spurs have bought a couple of 18 year olds and why aren’t they buying for the now? People I have spoken to at the club say the feeling is very much that these players are for the now and they’re for the future as well, that’s the beauty of it,” Gold said.
“I do think he (Gray) is going to get more minutes that even we are anticipating because he has wowed people enough behind the scenes, whether he ends up doing right-back shifts or in the midfield.”

Gray is ready
Archie Gray may only be 18 years old, but he’s ready to take the Premier League by storm.
Gray was one of the best players in the Championship last season, and as many players have shown in recent years, making that leap from the Championship to the Premier League can be rather simple if you have the quality.
Gray is impressing behind the scenes at Spurs, and, as Gold says, it looks as though he might get a surprising amount of gametime this season.
