Alan Stubbs has told the Ladbrokes Social Club that Everton could do worse than signing Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos ahead of the January transfer window – as the Colombian continues to shine under Steven Gerrard.
Morelos, 23, has been in stunning form for Rangers this season. Not only has the Colombia international netted an enormous 22 goals in 26 league and cup outings, Morelos has also improved his discipline which saw him sent off five times last term.
Indeed, the former HJK Helsinki striker has picked up just five yellow cards this season – a mass improvement on last season. His stunning form has seen him score 11 goals in 12 Europa League games – including two against FC Porto.
The Sun claimed last month that Morelos is a target for Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace ahead of the January transfer window, with the Eagles supposedly readying a £20million offer to land the striker. Stubbs suggests Everton should consider him.

TBR’s view – Morelos would be an excellent signing for Everton
It is clear as day to Everton fans that a new striker is needed at Goodison Park, as they still struggle to replace the loss of Romelu Lukaku. The Toffees signed Moise Kean in the summer from Juventus, but he is yet to score or impress.
He is one for the future, while Dom Calvert-Lewin continues to do a job here and there. Cenk Tosun has come in from the wilderness and scored against Tottenham, but he is far from living up top his £27million transfer fee.
Morelos brings something different. Strength, tenacity and passion combined with technical skill, attacking intelligence and impeccable finishing would give Everton the complete striker – and for £20million, he could be a bargain.
