Tottenham had Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son to thank in the main for their 3-1 win against West Ham United this afternoon in the Premier League.
The win for Antonio Conte’s men ensured that Spurs kept themselves well in the mix for the top four heading into the international break. With a few weeks off now, Conte will be determined to see his side finish the campaign strongly and ultimately, usurp Arsenal in the race.

However, while Kane and Son might have took the headlines, Sky Sports’ Alan Smith was impressed by the performance of midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur as well. The January signing was once again in fine form in the middle of the park, and looks every bit the class act Conte wanted in his midfield.
And in the 81st minute, Smith took time out to sing the praises of Bentancur, lauding him as a ‘classy competitor’ for how he performed against the Hammers.
TBR’s View: Bentancur Proving A Fine Tottenham Signing
This is a smart signing from Tottenham, this. Kulusevski might be taking the praise in terms of attacking impact out of the two January signings. But Bentancur is proving to be the glue that holds Spurs together.
He’s made a nice partnership with Pierre Hojbjerg already. But crucially, he is more than adept at playing the ball forward and starting attacks. That is why Conte wanted him, and that’s what he’s providing at the moment.
