West Ham United ace Jesse Lingard has been named in Alan Shearer’s latest Premier League Team of the Week.
The Manchester United loanee has been sensational for the Hammers since his January loan move to the London Stadium.
In just nine games in claret and blue, Lingard has registered eight goals and four assists.
Indeed, West Ham have won six of their games with Lingard in the team, drawing two and losing just one.
The 28-year-old’s efforts have helped the Hammers remain on track for a top-four finish and qualification for the Champions League.
On Sunday, Lingard netted a brace to help David Moyes’ side run out 3-2 winners over fellow top-four side Leicester City.
Given his latest heroics, it’s no surprise to see Shearer name Lingard once again in his Premier League Team of the Week.
“A stunning performance again, with two more goals,” the Premier League legend wrote on the Premier League website. “Can anyone stop him?”
Lingard’s two goals, and a third from Jarrod Bowen, moved West Ham back into the top four and put them just one point behind third-placed Leicester.
Up next for West Ham is Newcastle United away in Saturday’s early kickoff.
