Alan Shearer has named Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane as the seventh-best English player of the Premier League era.
The Premier League legend described the Spurs talisman as one of the best passers in the English top flight.
Shearer and fellow BBC Sport pundit Micah Richards made their picks on the latest episode of the Match of the Day podcast.

The two pundits – joined by Gary Lineker – they ranked 10 players from a pre-selected shortlist.
Those 10 players were Kane, Steven Gerrard, John Terry, Wayne Rooney, Paul Scholes, David Beckham, Ashley Cole, Michael Owen, Frank Lampard and Shearer himself.
“He’s given Tottenham everything,” said Shearer of Kane. “If he doesn’t move this summer, it’s never happening.
“He’s one of the best passers in the Premier League actually.”
Richards, meanwhile, listen Kane at 10th and said: “What’s he won? He didn’t need to sign that Tottenham contract.”
Kane has continued to make history over the course of the season.
He has moved up to fifth in the Premier League all-time goalscorers’ table and is England’s joined second-highest top goalscorer.
Indeed, there’s a good chance Kane could become the highest-scoring England player of all time by end of year.
He needs just four more goals for the Three Lions to overtake Rooney, who has 53 goals for his country.
Shearer went for Rooney at number one, while Richards named Gerrard as his best English player of the PL era.
“He’s a phenom”
Joe Hart, who was at Tottenham last year, recently lifted the lid on just how good Kane is.
“The best finisher there was Kane and best player there is him,” the veteran stopper said on the In the Stiffs podcast.

“I was with him for three years previous with England and thought he was awesome, a top player, but he really is a top player.
“I saw him three years later and it wasn’t just because I was with him every day it’s because this lunatic is still improving.
“He’s still getting better because of his mentality and work-ethic.
“He’s a phenom. Some people when they have good days they’re unplayable. When he has a good day he’s actually perfect.
“His heading, his pass, his touch, his finishing. He’s [as good as I’ve played with] and I’ve played with some good ones!”
