Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has made it into Alan Shearer’s latest Premier League Team of the Week.

The 29-year-old has been one of the best and most consistent players in the Anfield ranks since joining in 2017.

Salah has made 212 appearances for Liverpool, registering 134 goals and 50 assists.

His efforts have helped Jurgen Klopp’s side clinch several trophies including the Premier League and Champions League.

The Egyptian has averaged 21 goals per season across the last three Premier League campaigns.

This season, he has registered an impressive nine goals and three assists from just nine appearances in all competitions.

And against Manchester City, Salah scored a sensational solo effort and also set up the opening goal for Sadio Mane.

The former Chelsea ace’s efforts at the weekend saw him make Shearer’s XI, the only Liverpool man to make the cut.

“He came up with a world-class moment in a magnificent match, scoring one of the best goals of the Premier League era,” Shearer wrote.

“His assist for Mane was outstanding too.”

Salah’s future at Liverpool remains uncertain in the long term, as his contract runs out in 2023 and no agreement has yet been brokered.

The Independent claims Salah is seeking wages of between £300,000 and £380,000-a-week on a contract until at least 2025.
