Alan Shearer has included Everton’s Seamus Coleman in his latest edition of Premier League Team of the Week.
Shearer was left hugely impressed by the performance of Toffees defender Coleman last Friday in the 1-0 league victory at the Emirates Stadium away to Arsenal.
The 32-year-old Irish right-back helped his side record a victory that keeps them firmly in the hunt to finish in the European positions this season.
Shearer was particular impressed with the way that Coleman pocketed £72million (BBC) Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe, who was substituted off in the second half after failing to get any change out of the Everton ace.
“Saw Nicolas Pepe off with ease and was always an attacking threat,” he told the Premier League’s official website.

TBR’s View:
Despite being one of the more senior members of the Everton group, Coleman is still on his day a quality performer at Goodison Park who’s been an incredible servant for the club since he joined back in 2009.
He’s a superb option for Carlo Ancelotti to have in his squad, and he’s a great player for youngsters to learn from.
The Merseyside club should be targeting a young right-back during this summer’s transfer window, who can be direct competition next season for Coleman in the Everton squad. He’s exactly the kind of mentor that an upcoming full-back would love to have.
