Alan Shearer raved about the performance of Martin Odegaard during Arsenal’s 3-3 draw with West Ham at the weekend, naming him in his Premier League Team of the Week.
The Norwegian maestro was in fine form as the Gunners came from 3-0 down to earn a share of the spoils at the London Stadium.
Odegaard has made a solid start to life at the Emirates Stadium and already it would seem supporters want to see him signed next season.
Zinedine Zidane chose not to utilise him more this season and his Real Madrid future could perhaps be in doubt.

That would be music to the ears of Arsenal and they will surely look to do a deal if the possibility is there.
Shearer was delighted with his display during Sunday’s clash and he raved about him during his Team of the Week piece.
He told the Premier League’s official website: “He ran the game from midfield and was the driving force in Arsenal’s fightback. Gunners fans will be hoping he signs permanently.”
Odegaard has made a dozen appearances for Arsenal, scoring twice for his temporary club.
Although he could be sat on more goal contributions, as Shearer says he is dictating games from midfield.
Operating as a No.10 seems to suit him enormously and he’s proving a really good loan signing by Arsenal.
TBR View: Arsenal must ask questions of Real Madrid
Odegaard enjoyed a good loan spell last season with Real Sociedad and he’s now doing well at Arsenal too.

Real Madrid may have plans for him but a time will come when the £85,000-a-week player will want to feel settled.
He’s clearly enjoying his time at Arsenal and his form dictates that he is happy in North London.
Arsenal might have to cut their cloth accordingly in the summer but Arteta must seek word with Los Blancos over the future of Odegaard.
