‘Ahhhh’, ‘absolutely need him’: Some Spurs fans react after seeing who’s been pictured in training

A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Giovani Lo Celso being pictured in training amid some concerns by supporters over his fitness.

The Spurs midfielder had not appeared in images or videos, even in the background, from either last week’s in-house training friendly or the Norwich game.

Even though Tottenham did share some photos of Lo Celso appearing to be training individually last week, he did look somewhat pained while stretching, as noted by Football London.

On Tuesday, however, Spurs shared images of the Argentine in training with teammates, which went a long way towards allaying fan fears.

Lo Celso joined Tottenham initially on loan from Real Betis last summer, Spurs making his switch permanent in the January transfer window for a £27.2million fee, and to date, he has made 28 appearances for the North Londoners.

Tottenham are back in action on Friday night as the Premier League returns after a three-month hiatus, with Jose Mourinho’s charges hosting Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, both teams eyeing Champions League qualification.
