Southampton are reportedly set for a major summer overhaul. After stepping one point closer to safety against Watford in midweek, Ralph Hasenhuttl is already preparing to cull his squad.
Six Southampton players will be allowed to leave in the summer, according to The Mirror. Hasenhuttl has told these players that they do not have a future at the south coast club.
Charlie Austin, Fraser Forster and Jack Stephens head the list. Austin and Stephens play occasionally, while Forster has dropped to third choice behind Angus Gunn and Alex McCarthy.
And three loanees also have no future with the Saints. Cedric Soares and Wesley Hoedt were both loaned out by Hasenhuttl in January and can leave permanently, while Jordy Clasie can also go.
Hasenhuttl did not sign anyone in January but it appears he is making space in his squad to bring his own players to Southampton. And Saints fans took to Twitter to discuss the potential exits of Austin, Forster, Stephens, Clasie, Cedric and Hoedt.
Here are some of the best tweets from Southampton fans with the majority seeming to agree with Hasenhuttl’s decisions.
Agree with all. Would probably add a couple more to that list too.

Cant see him playing Jack Stephens semi-regularly yet also asking him to move.
I would prioritise removing Forster, Cedric, Hoedt, Elyounoussi and Carillo personally. None of those guys are anywhere near good enough, and probably cost a fortune in wages.

Only those? What about the rest?

Boufal not included in that list? That’s a positive sign.
