Fabrizio Romano has provided an exciting update on West Ham United’s pursuit of Lucas Paqueta.
The Hammers are pushing to get a deal over the line for the Lyon and Brazil midfielder.
On Wednesday, David Moyes confirmed that West Ham had made a bid for Paqueta.

Since then, a number of somewhat conflicting reports have emerged,
Sky Sports claimed that the bid was worth around €40million (£33.8million), but Lyon rejected it.
L’Equipe, meanwhile, reported that West Ham’s rejected offer actually totalled €50million (£42million).
And today, 90Min claimed that the Hammers are now nearing a deal worth ‘in excess of €50million’.
Now, Romano has taken to Twitter to claim that Paqueta’s agents are in London for further talks with West Ham.
In addition, the player himself reportedly “dreams of Premier League football”.
However, “there’s still a lot of work to do on clubs side”, added Romano.
Admittedly, it won’t be easy for West Ham to strike a deal for the “extraordinary” midfielder.
Jean-Michel Aulas, the Lyon president, is not a pushover by any means.
However, Paqueta’s desire to play in the Premier League means West Ham have a good chance of landing him.
And hearing that his representatives are in London for further talks also suggests things are going in the right direction.
