Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Genoa’s Radu Dragusin in recent weeks.
Tuttomercatoweb recently claimed that Spurs are one of several Premier League teams eyeing the 21-year-old centre-back.
As well as Tottenham, the likes of Newcastle and Brighton have also been linked with Dragusin, who has won nine caps for Romania.
Now, the player’s agent has spoken to Fanatik about his client’s future, saying he has spoken with Spurs and other suitors and a big move is “getting closer”.
“I have been in London for quite some time and I have almost weekly meetings with important teams,” Florin Manea said.
“We’re getting closer and closer. I talked to Newcastle, Arsenal, Tottenham. I also have messages with them, conversations. There are teams that ask (about Dragusin).”
Can Spurs beat rival suitors to the ‘Romanian Van Dijk’?
There has been a lot of speculation involving Dragusin and the Premier League that will surely only intensify as the January transfer window edges closer.
Tottenham could certainly do with bolstering their defensive ranks in wake of what happened prior to the international break.

In the Spurs loss to Chelsea, Micky van de Ven was injured and Cristian Romero was sent off, and neither was available for the following game against Wolves.
The drop-off in quality at the back was noticeable as Tottenham fell to a second consecutive defeat.
Dragusin is a decent shout for Spurs in the January transfer window.
He is a very talented young player who has been doing well for Genoa in Serie A, has a high ceiling, and seems both available and decently-priced.
Goal.com named Dragusin in their 2021 NxGn list, at number 45. The same outlet – in another article – also deemed him the ‘Romanian Van Dijk’.
The £25million-rated talent is strong in the air, comfortable with the ball at his feet, and possesses strong energy levels.
Better still for Tottenham, Dragusin’s mother previously told Romanian outlet AS that her son’s “childhood dream” is to play in the Premier League.
All in all, it looks like an interesting lead for Spurs, so let’s see how things develop in the coming weeks.
