The agent of reported Tottenham Hotspur target Stefan Savic has been discussing the future of his client.
It was reported by TodoFichajes recently that Tottenham were interested in the player, who could be available for £13.5 million.
The Atletico Madrid star has been a hit in the Spanish capital despite his previous struggles in English football during a spell at Manchester City.
Jose Mourinho is believed to be a fan of the player and Tottenham need defensive reinforcements at the lowest possible prices.
However, his agent Zarko Pelicic has been speaking about a potential move for his client to TuttoJuve, amid links with Italian side Juventus.
He made it clear that the Montenegro international is still happy at Atleti and would be open to staying until the end of his current contract which expires in 2023.
“Stefan has a contract with Atletico until 2023. He is very happy to wear this shirt. For the moment, all he feels it is only speculation and rumors about him.”
Tottenham are clearly in need of defensive reinforcements this summer. Jan Vertonghen is set to leave and Tottenham’s other defensive options have performed below-par throughout 2019-20.
However, the initial reports linking Tottenham to Savic were fairly light and it seems the player is happy where he is.
It would seem that Tottenham might not be bringing the 29-year-old back to English football.
