Kia Joorabchin has told Talk Sport that Joelson Fernandes isn’t an Arsenal target this summer, saying he’s never spoken with the Gunners about the Portuguese wonderkid.
The 17-year-old has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium during the transfer window (Daily Star) but Joorabchin has now quashed the rumours.
Fernandes is currently at Sporting Lisbon and has been tipped for big things in the future – wherever he ends up next.

The left-winger has a release clause of £40 million and it had been thought that Arsenal would offer the Portuguese side a player plus cash, in order to get the price down.
Superagent Joorabchin has played down the rumours, however, and Fernandes arriving in North London now looks unlikely.
He told Talk Sport: “Today I read something about Joelson Fernandes, that Arsenal have made an offer etc, etc.
“He’s a young, phenomenal talent, but we’ve never, ever spoken about him to Arsenal.
“I’ve probably seen like 25 articles about him and Arsenal and it’s so untrue because I’ve never even mentioned him to Arsenal.”
Fernandes will have plenty of potential suitors this summer but it’s perhaps unlikely he will move on during this window.
Future star
The teenager has just broken into the first-team, playing four games for the team last season.
He is, however, still very raw and he would perhaps be better off continuing his development at his current club who are renowned for bringing youngsters through.

Arsenal will instead perhaps look for the tried and tested approach this summer, with finances possibly restricted.
The Gunners finished eighth last season and with money tight, Mikel Arteta will only want players who are capable of coming in and making an instant impact.
With that in mind, it’s perhaps ideal that Fernandes isn’t an immediate Arsenal target.
