Agent believes £85m star linked with Arsenal would suit Tottenham

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly both trying to sign Dusan Vlahovic.

In November, Gianluca Di Marzio claimed the Gunners met with Fiorentina’s hierarchy over a potential January move for the 21-year-old.

And according to Sport Mediaset, Tottenham have also spoken to Viola representatives about Vlahovic earlier this year.

Chances are that Arsenal and Spurs will have tough competition for the Serbia international’s services.

Vlahovic is one of Europe’s most coveted players thanks to his incredible quality, goalscoring tally, and high ceiling.

He joined Fiorentina in 2018 from Partizan Belgrade and has developed into a lethal striker.

This season, Vlahovic has 18 goals from 22 Viola games, while last season he netted 21 times from 37 appearances.

In addition, he has seven goals from 14 appearances for his country.

Spurs boost in Vlahovic pursuit?

According to agent Stefano Antonelli, Tottenham are the “most credible solution” as far as options go.

He claimed Newcastle would go “crazy” for Vlahovic, but Spurs have “a very different appeal”.

Antonelli also claimed Vlahovic is not going to renew his Fiorentina contract, which expires in 2023.

However, he feels the 6ft 3in powerhouse is likelier to move in summer.

“Vlahovic’s story with the Viola from a contractual point of view must be considered closed at the moment,” Antonelli told Tuttomercatoweb.

“But I expect the departure more in the summer than in January.

“[Tottenham] is the most accredited solution.

“Newcastle would be crazy for a player like that today, but Tottenham have a very different appeal.”

Spurs fans will enjoy hearing Antonelli’s words – Antonio Conte having Vlahovic and Harry Kane at his disposal would be frightening.

However, whether he goes to Tottenham, Arsenal or elsewhere, Vlahovic won’t come cheap.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Fiorentina want 100m euro (around £85million) for their star striker.
