Monaco
The surprise package this season, few expected the south coast French side to beat Villarreal in their qualification play-off, let alone see off the likes of Tottenham, CSKA Moscow and Bayer Leverkusen in a tough group, and even less so against Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund in the knock out stages.
What their youthful side lacks in experience, they make up for with desire and attacking intent, having scored an impressive 26 goals in the competition this season as they reached their furthest stage in the competition since they lost out to Jose Mourinho’s Porto in 2004.
Having been drawn against a strong Juventus side and without the benefit of home advantage in the second leg which they have had against Manchester City and Dortmund, they remain the underdogs, but they are certainly one to watch.
