Mateusz Klich’s turnaround at Leeds United under Marcelo Bielsa has been incredible, as he’s developed into an integral player at Elland Road after being shipped out on loan last season.
The midfielder has been an ever-present in the Whites side and helped them to sit top of the Championship table after 26 league matches.
But the 27-year-old has suffered a mid-season blip in the past month where his levels have dropped slightly and the extreme demands on him have started to take effect.
The Poland international has had a much-needed rest from action and has not featured since New Year’s Day, which is why he should be fresh going into the home match against Derby County on Friday night.
Leeds desperately need their all-action central midfielder back to his best to help the club get back on track with their promotion bid, with three consecutive defeats in all competitions going into the Derby game.

Klich has looked fatigued in the last month due to his incredible work-rate and fans should hope he can now recreate the form he showed in the early stages of the campaign.
He’s made 28 appearances across all competitions this season, scoring five goals and supplying six assists.
The midfielder can play a pivotal role going forward against Derby with his trademark attacking runs, while he’s got the defensive qualities too to balance Bielsa’s team nicely.
