This week has seen Victor Wanyama discussing his time at Celtic and, in particular, working under Neil Lennon. As he told the Glasgow Evening Times, the Kenyan is over the moon that Lennon has been offered the Celtic job permanently again. He went on to praise Lennon for kickstarting his career after bringing him to Parkhead.
“I will always be grateful to Celtic for what they did for me and my career and I will always be grateful to Neil Lennon, too.
“Celtic taught me what the Champions League was all about. I think he is a fantastic manager and a fantastic coach but he is also a good man. He taught me the game. He made me a mature player. He gave me that understanding which let me go on.”
Clearly, Wanyama has a special respect for Lennon and the feeling is likely to be mutual. So should Celtic try and bring the Champions League finalist back this summer?
As reported by the Daily Mail, Wanyama is potentially on his way out of Tottenham this summer.

He has struggled for form and fitness this term and with Spurs looking to bring in some new faces the former Celtic man could be on his way out.
Celtic could certainly do with an extra pair of legs in the heart of midfield. Olivier Ntcham’s future is in doubt and Wanyama would be a like-for-like replacement in the centre of the park for the Bhoys.
Financially, it could be something of a challenge but of Tottenham want him off their books then Celtic would be a perfect location for the Kenyan maestro.
It is certainly a transfer Celtic should at least look into this summer.
